Staying on track

Going to the gym at least 3x a week for me is not hard at all. I enjoy going to the gym and working out my lower body. What I hate doing is working out my abs which I don't think its all that necessary if you're eating well. And by eating well I mean no processed foods, no empty calorie drinks such as soda or juice, and basically no junk food. Trust me I know how hard it is especially if you come from a Hispanic background to cut off the carbs. Growing up my mother, grandmother, aunts etc would always cook rice, beans and some sort of meat or chicken. We rarely ever ate veggies, the most we had was salad and avocados. So as I began to care about my appearance and obessing with losing weight everything I would read would say that my diet would have to change; So I went from eating no veggies to eating veggies everyday( I didn't enjoy them much at first), from eating MCDs to cutting it off completely. I began to see great improvements. I no longer was living at home so I did my own food shopping which consisted of lots of salmon, fish, chicken, brown rice, veggies, fruits and nuts. But since I moved back home it has been very hard to resist eating everything my mom cooks and I noticed that my stomach was not as slim anymore. So here I am back at square one trying to resist being tempted to eat a plate of white rice everyday. lol So what I am trying to do is help educate my family to make better eating choices. I will be posting a list of foods you all should be eating.
